Strange Screentime : Alphur is a very short Visual Novel about the small conversations we can have with strangers that you didn't know they needed.
You download an old anonymous chat program called 'Alphur'. Going through various topics and meeting other people, or sometimes no one even connects.
Listening to the radio a song comes on and prompts another topic in your mind, "80's rock". Curious, you type it in as your next topic.
Little did you know this would be your strangest encounter yet.
You meet Donnoroch. A demon curious about humans, but has never met one himself. Answer his questions and choose how you want to >respond.

I made this game for the O2A2VN Jam (2022), and had fun doing so!
This is my first published Visual Novel, albeit short but I guess that's the nature of the jam after all.
I may pick up this concept and extend on it more if there's enough interest as this did feel more like a proof-of-concept rather than a full game. But I did try my best to at least make the game feel like it can work standalone as-is.
But yeah, enjoy!! I sure enjoyed making it.

This game was actually rather cute. I was a little disappointed by the short length, but it's not actually a downside. Definitely wish I could have spent more different in-game nights talking with Don and learn more about him, so I hope that this game either gets an extension, or a more full release overall.

This is such a cute game, I would absolutely love to get that "Bass date". It would be so great if you continued this project or the story at least, he is such a sweetheart.

Despite being so short I'm really interested in Don's life and how he's doing, I love how you set up Don's personality and he truly feels like someone who can give you warm and comfy hugs!! Ok....1st of all, this is sooo cute...YOU HAVE TO CONTINUE THIS!! It would be so cool if you could chat and somehow meet Don and his daughter! Like demon summoning or demension travelling or some shit like that! You could like have the mc discover grimiors on magic and it'll be awesome! Like I already have some ideas...
