So what if one day you were kicked out of your apartment, trying to cope you go to the nearest cafรฉ and suddenly your whole view on the world gets shifted because you learn that... DEMONS EXIST?
You're taken under the wing of two demons, who are more than willing to teach you about their kind and what it's like to have to hide your true self from the public eye.
It's not going to be easy to adapt, but at least you don't have to do it alone. Would you burn yourself to bare your soul, or return to the walled but easy life you once had?
Flicker of Azure is a low fantasy visual novel with elements of romance, about how something so miniscule can shift ones perspective of the world completely.
Also, that it's rude to stare.
The current state of the game is a demo, which includes :
- 5k words
- Player character color customization
- Animated sprites
- A preview on what's to come
This game is currently in development and is being made by a sole developer, Pann.
This game initially was made during the NaNoRenO 2023 game jam, which is to create a visual novel over the course of a month.
The game's demo at its current released state is lacking features due to the time constraints of the game jam, BUT there will be a full release.
Will be in the full release :
- The rest of the story, including a chance to romance Wez (and if all goes well, perhaps other characters too...)
- Redone and more backgrounds, with time-of-day variation
- Music, as the demo only has a menu theme.
- Completed custom UI
- Various visual assets
- The gallery
- More CGs
The game's first full version release is aimed to be at some point in 2024, hopefully.

I want to ask you pann... when the full version release can you release with it the android version?? Cuz when i play it in joyplay half the screen of the game is crashed
I enjoyed this game SO very much! I love your artstyle and every character is like eye candy, even the MC! This is so beautiful and well made, I love that you can customize your character's looks which is rare in VNs, and the whole UI looks so orderly and sleek! I'm so invested in the story already and the potential it has, like this setup has so many interesting possibilities and I can't wait to see what happens. But i actually CAN wait because a great game is never rushed so do take your time!

I haven't seen the demo in a year now so it was really refreshing to see it again, with entertaining commentary too; plus it was really pleasing to hear the connection you made between the demons and Strange Screentime, that made me SO happy! when is full version coming off
I'm aiming for a full version release sometime this year! It's currently behind some current commitments and another short project's release but after those I'll be solely working on Flicker of Azure once again.

Thank you! And progress-wise it's getting there, sadly I'm still on the mainly writing phase of development and I've recently had to take a break from it to work on other things.

the mc looks really good i love how expressive he is
I need more omg!! the game so far is amazing, the word noises are amazing, the art is amazing, the main character is relatable (apart from the obvious demon part), I was able to become engrossed immediately, not to mention the premise and the characters personalities! I personally cant wait for the full release, excited to play. :D
P.S also to note, love the way the narrator talks about the player, and the funny options to choose, one of the reasons this game stand out to me.
Usually, I will write a review on VN games after finishing playing them, but this one is an exception. I literally have my game paused right now just to write this review because of HOW AMAZING IT WAS FROM THE START!! I can only imagine the amount of dedication you put into the "choose your character's personality" ๐ซก Also, the talking animation for the sprite following the dialogue and not just a loop?! HOLY-------

Strange how oddly accurate the MC is to my usual choices in a game. And I mean the design, the colors were a nice touch though. Despite how short it is, I'm pretty impressed with the quality. Will be following this for sure.

I wonder if that small flame appeared after that thing happened or if it was always there. I can't remember now. It'll be cool to see if subtle details happen like that though. But yeah, take the time you need on this. Hard to believe it was done in a month with how polished it is.
man, usually in this kind of game, the MC's design will mostly be meh, but i am so in love with your MC. He is so darn cute. And i love the choice options, the interaction between characters when i chose the "odd options" is very interesting. It makes the characters more alive imo.

LOVE the menu UI so much, very unique and stylish giving me a 90s/early 2000s vibes. nice prologue thus far setting up the plot and the character creator was absolutely hilarious haha i learned so much.
I hope we can also romance Lord Agito too (if all goes well), I am already such a simp for him Q.Q

why is your font so small bruh? My eyes !!
tried to put a certain part of it in italic, but put whole thing as it by mistake then that made all of it huge too. So i reduced the size but it didnt show how small it truly was until after i posted Q.Q

I liked the premise I was curious for what will happen the art is beautiful and the characters have strong personalities I loved it, good job, I'm looking forward to the next updates and I would also like to know if they will add translation to the Portuguese language or if they will release it the files so that the community can translate on their own
