To receive a letter from a dead love, telling you that there is a way to bring them back... and how much you miss them too... no hesitation.

You are Jarred, the assistant and world of the esteemed, yet quirky, archaeologist, Lauthis

Although, after the incident two years ago... you have been a planet without a sun. You would do anything to bring him back, even follow along his strange ramblings.

But as Lauthis has always said to you, "Look for what is there, not what that is underneath." ... which is ironic because he was an archaeologist after all.

Hey! I decided to join in O2A2 again this year, trying some new things with style, the point-and-click (Thankyou Ekko for helping me figure it out!!) and even did a little mediocre voice acting myself. I had fun making this, I hope you all enjoy playing it!

I like having a puzzle in a visual novel, it was a very cool game, very much enjoyed it!

Woahhh, I really love the puzzle sequence itself! I was a bit stump the first time cause there were no indicators I had finished something, but I managed to get it, I appreciate you highlighting some parts to solve the puzzle. Especially during the monologue cause I completely skipped it since I had read the dialogue already so that's a really cool little hint as well!

I also didn't anticipate Lauthis' cause of death and his true goals. But honestly it's forgivable since that man truly adores his husband which, props to him he can go cause atrocities for his husband and the torment.

I'm so curious about Lauthis' past and what happened to him, coupled that with Jarred. Amazing work done here!

The VA was amazing and gosh, I loved the artstyle so much. I didn't read anything and walked blind, thinking this man is like an evil magician...haha.

Anyways, I loved the actual good ending. Usually the screen just shifts images but this one had an entire small change, which may be really minute but I appreciated it. Also, it got the screws in brain working, which I loved. Definitely would recommend.

The VA is so good! I liked the game, but I'm a bit dumb when it comes to puzzles, I only got the correct ending by watching a video, but I had fun trying to figure it out lol

Very clever! I really like the use of a cadaver as the sprite; it makes so much sense with the requirements of the jam. And the puzzle was tricky and satisfying. (Thanks for highlighting the words on the second time around--much appreciated as a hint.) Only thing I would have liked is to not have the teletyper run every time you open the letter, since of course I had to check the letter eleventy billion times to make sure I was doing it all right.

Excellent both as a story and as a puzzle! Jarred and Lauthis are such a good pair, and I think you should give yourself more props for your voice acting- it added a lot of life and felt very fitting for the character! The story is perfect on its own, but I definitely would enjoy a continuation as well- especially after the 'true' ending (whew!). Either way, major kudos!

Thank you!! I'm glad that you enjoyed it! I'm not super confident with my voice acting as this is in fact my first time trying it properly, so your compliment means a lot T_T! I want to expand on their story more at a later date too, hopefully after the projects I have lined up currently

is this nsfw or sfw?

sfw btw

Great game! I hope that their story could be expanded on in the future.

Thank you for the let's play!! I'm considering a sequel or prequel after some of the projects I'm working on currently ^^

Really cool game! :) Always great to see more VNs with point and click elements out there, too <3 Well done!!

Thank you!! It was fun to learn how to make them, I might experiment with them more for future projects :D

You definitely should! Join me in the exciting world of “all games I make must have point and click because dang it I just love clicking on stuff” :) <3

Great game! I had a lot of fun collecting the 3 endings; it was clever how you designed the 2 successful ritual endings. I still think that the Order ending is such a cruel fate; after 2 years of grief, to be given only 5 minutes seems almost torturous.

The art is beautiful, I'm looking forward to seeing what you create next!

Thank you for the let's play, and I'm glad you liked it!!! I love watching how you figured out the endings and the commentary was fun!

I also think it's such a terrible fate to experience, to have it ripped away from him so fast ;__; Lucky for Jarred, it's not the only fate I had planned for him

Probably the order you're thinking of (as highlighted in bold), but everything should be backwards

He does? :o Wow, I didn't even notice :D

Oh Thanks !!
